Founding - The society was formed in 1998 as a California public benefit nonprofit corporation. It is governed by a board of directors elected by members.

Membership - Membership is open to all who support the purpose and goals of the society. See Membership and Donations.

Meetings - General membership meetings are 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at Oromo-Christ Lutheran Church, 100 Hacienda Avenue, San Lorenzo. Minutes of past meetings are available to all members.
